Saving with Solar

When you go solar, you could save more than you think. From affordable energy costs to solar incentives that help offset installation costs, here are the ways you can save with solar in Austin, TX.

Cost and savings with solar in Austin

When thinking about whether solar is a good fit for you, one of the first questions people ask is “How much does it cost?” The truth is that the answer depends on a number of factors such as your home, lifestyle, and how much energy you want to offset. If your home uses less power, you’ll pay less to cover your energy needs. If your home uses more, you’ll save more by generating more energy from your panels.

Monthly solar payments typically start around $99, with an average of $180 per month. Every home is different, so there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. At ATX Solar, we’ll provide a personalized quote during your consultation to match your home, budget, and energy goals.

There's more ways to save with solar than you think

When you go solar, there a variety of ways you can save. From decreased energy costs to solar incentives that offset installation costs, to ongoing saving options like net metering, there’s a variety of ways solar is more affordable than you may initially think.

Cost breakdown of a Solar System

There are a wide range of solar incentives available to help offset the cost of going solar. Taking advantage of them can significantly lower the cost of your solar system. Discover the best options for you with ATX Solar and make going solar more affordable.

Reducing the cost of solar installation

There are a wide range of solar incentives available to help offset the cost of going solar. Taking advantage of them can significantly lower the cost of your solar system. Discover the best options for you with ATX Solar and make going solar more affordable.

Reducing the cost of your Home Solar System

Local Rebates: In Texas, while the state government does not offer direct solar incentives, many local utility providers do. These utility companies have their own rebate programs, offering valuable incentives for going solar. However, not all providers offer rebates, and the amount can vary based on the specific utility company.

Federal Rebates: Benefit from the Federal Solar Investment Tax Credit, which can reduce your solar panel installation costs by 30%. This incentive is a great way to make going solar more affordable for homeowners.

Manufacturer Rebates: Discover which manufacturers simplify the solar process while offering financial incentives for your installation.

Promotions: Keep an eye out for local promotions in your city or state that can help reduce your purchase and installation costs. Timing your purchase wisely can lead to significant savings.

Cutting down on utility expenses

Utility Bills: Say goodbye to soaring electricity bills—switching to solar can significantly lower your monthly utility expenses.

Net Metering: Net metering allows solar owners to receive credits for the excess energy they generate and send back to the grid, effectively lowering their utility bills. This system enables homeowners to offset their energy costs and maximize the financial benefits of their solar investment.

Maximizing savings on solar panel costs through rebates

Federal Tax Credit

A key way to reduce the costs of your solar panel system is through the Federal Solar Investment Tax Credit. This incentive allows you to deduct 30% of the installation cost from your federal taxes until 2033. For example, if your solar system is priced at $25,000, you can receive a $7,500 credit on your taxes. Coupled with any local incentives, this can lead to substantial savings on your overall investment in solar energy!

Manufacturer Rebates

Solar manufacturer warranties provide peace of mind by ensuring your investment is protected against defects and performance issues over time. At ATX Solar, our team is dedicated to helping you navigate and take full advantage of all available incentives and rebates, maximizing your savings and ensuring a successful solar installation.

Explore utility bill savings

What do all of these houses have in common? That one of the biggest benefits of going solar is the significant decrease in their monthly utility bills. Your savings will vary based on how much energy your solar system generates and your energy usage. By tapping into the sun’s power, a free and renewable energy source, you can greatly reduce your dependence on traditional electricity suppliers. This helps protect you from rising electricity rates and keeps your energy expenses stable. With a solar panel system, you can lock in your energy costs at a fixed rate, making it easier to plan your finances and avoid unpredictable energy price increases.

See how net metering benefits home and business owners just like you

Net metering is a valuable benefit for solar energy users, allowing you to receive credits for any excess energy your system generates and sends back to the grid. This means that during sunny days when your solar panels produce more energy than you need, you can offset your utility costs by feeding that energy back to the grid. As a result, your monthly utility bills can be significantly reduced, making solar energy even more cost-effective. By utilizing net metering, you can maximize your savings and enjoy the financial advantages of your solar investment. See what our most recent clients have to say about solar has helped them below.
